Our Qualifications

Neal Shepard has been in the insurance business since 1973. He has served the community in leadership capacities with the Kiwanis Club, the Red Cross, and the Chamber of Commerce. His career includes 4 terms in the Georgia Legislature, and remains active with friends and contacts in Washington D.C. Neal serves as Secretary- Treasurer for the Coweta Fayette EMC, and is Chairman of the EMC Gas board. He also serves on the Relyco Board of Directors, and was elected to the board of Georgia Systems Operations Company, which is part of the Oglethorpe Power organization. Neal serves on the Audit committee of GSOC, which is the company that provides the control services and operated the power grid for the Coopertives throughout the State of Georgia. Neal is also the delegate from GSOC to the Georgia EMC (GEMC) board of directors. He is also serving as Chairman of the Coweta County Water and Sewer Authority.  During the 90's Neal and his brother Phillip owned and operated White Oak Athletic Center, which they sold to Georgia Baptist in 1997. Neal's business and community background uniquely qualify him to work with business clients during this time of increased scrutiny for business owners and board members.

Neal and his wife Jodie, have 3 sons, Jay, John, and Matt. They also are proud grandparents of Taylor who is John and Susan's child. Jodie and Neal are members of First Baptist Church.

 

 

Rebekah Strickland has worked with Neal Shepard for nearly eight years as an administrative assistant and agent.During this time she has worked with a great number of clients in helping with claims and service issues. She developed lines of communication and a rapport with most of the major group and individual medical insurance providers. She earned the respect and loyalty of a great number of clients over the time she has worked in this area. Rebekah was a 1998 graduate of the New Life Christian Learning Center in her hometown of Yakima, Washington. She relocated to the Newnan area in 2000, and began work as a secretary at Shepard and Walls, Associates. Her duties expanded with additional responsibilities over the last five years and she became a licensed agent for life, health, and disability for individuals and groups. Since that time, she earned recognition as one of the top 150 producers for Humana Group products in the country.  Rebekah lives in the White Oak community with her husband John and her five year old son, Kaleb, and Thomas who was born in January; they attend Central Baptist Church.
